Rafael Germosen brings knowledge, passion, and charisma to Cellar335 with a long history of restaurant openings. His calm, casual approach has brought a new level of service to the restaurant.
Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Rafael started his career in the Hospitality Industry in 2011 working in family-owned restaurants in his home state. Rafael continued his career as a barista in one of the most lucrative Starbucks in Manhattan, Rockefeller Center. After excelling in his position, he was brought to struggling stores to help train and supervise the staff on the culture and knowledge of Starbucks. As a supervisor, mentor, and teacher, Rafael learned many of the valuable skills he carries with him today.
Rafael’s first restaurant management position was with the re-opening of Alpha Fusion in Manhattan. There, he worked closely with the chef and owners in creating and evolving the food and beverage menus, expanding his knowledge on restaurant management and cocktail craftsmanship.
